Nilsa Buehner is a senior human resources leader with extensive experience in governance, compliance, and people strategy across complex, member-based organizations. She currently serves as Director of Human Resources at a private golf and country Club in Ontario, where she oversees workforce planning, labour and employment compliance, occupational health and safety governance, organizational culture, and executive advisory.

Nilsa brings strong board-level insight in risk management, policy development, and regulatory compliance, with particular expertise in health and safety, equity, diversity and inclusion, and organizational effectiveness. She works closely with senior leadership and board committees on planning, reporting, and organizational initiatives.

In addition to her professional role, Nilsa is actively engaged in community and nonprofit leadership. She serves as Vice President, Strategic Partnerships with Women in Leadership Association, where she focuses on sponsorship development, stakeholder engagement, and organizational growth. She also sits on the DEI Committee for Umbrella, contributing to inclusive governance practices and equity-driven initiatives.

Nilsa is currently completing her Master of Business Administration, further strengthening her expertise in governance, strategy, and organizational leadership. Her professional and volunteer work reflects a strong commitment to ethical leadership, accountability, and creating safe, inclusive environments where individuals can thrive.<br>
